Health & Social Services Groups

Serving individuals and groups with special needs or interests, Health & Social Services programs use wilderness environments, adventure and risk to help individuals build the confidence and esteem conducive to create and foster constructive patterns of human relations built on trust, understanding and communication. These programs also assist individuals in choosing healthier patterns of living. Participants have used programs for personal development, to improve skills, to help overcome individual problems and to develop group cohesion. Courses are designed to address the needs of individuals or groups in transition – moving from a place of personal (or group) disequilibrium to a place of an enhanced quality of functioning.

Most of the students who participate in group Health & Social Services programs have great financial need and the vast majority of these programs are supported 100% by need-based scholarship funding.
